TWG Tea launches limited-edition Tea Teddies gummy bears

We’ve seen brands try out different marketing gimmicks over the years, some successful, and others not so much. However, this new move by TWG Tea is definitely something we can get behind. They’ve recently launched their TWG Tea Teddies, AKA bear-shaped fruit gums infused with rare tea! According to the brand, these cute gummy bears are the first of their kind globally.

The tea gummies are available in eight white tea flavours: Strawberry, Raspberry & Vanilla, Grapefruit & Orange, Apple & Grape, Blueberry, Orange & Cinnamon, Ginger & Lemon, and Mango & Orange.

The Tea Teddies are priced at $15 per tub, with each tub containing 40 pieces. They can be found online or at TWG Tea Salons and Boutiques in Singapore. Do note that these limited-edition fruit gums are only available for takeaway and can’t be consumed in-store.

Due to high demand, these gummy bears are often sold out at TWG Tea outlets in ION Orchard and Takashimaya. We did manage to get our hands on two flavours–Raspberry & Vanilla and Mango & Orange—during our visit to their Raffles City branch.

The Tea Teddies are great for snacking and can be enjoyed as is. Texture-wise, they are less chewy and less gelatinous than regular gummy bears, yet they still have a slight bounce.

If you have a sweet tooth, the Raspberry & Vanilla is a good choice. It has a strong vanilla flavour and a distinct tartness from the raspberry.

As for the Mango & Orange, it features a stronger mango taste with a subtle hint of orange. This flavour is suitable for those who prefer something not too sweet.

The gummy bears can also be added to water to make a delicious, fruity tea. Simply place two to three bears in a cup and fill it with hot water. Stir the fruit gums until they dissolve completely, and you’ll have a fragrant cup of tea in less than 30 seconds!

The TWG Tea Teddies also make great gifts, especially for non-Singaporean friends. If you’d like to get a tub, we recommend calling the outlet ahead to reserve the gummy bears before heading down.
