Tom’s Palette opens in Kovan with new gelato flavours
Hougang and Kovan residents, you’re in for a treat: Tom’s Palette is set to open in your hood soon! The new gelato cafe will be a mere 10-minute walk from Kovan MRT Station.
If you didn’t know, Tom’s Palette is touted to be one of the OG ice cream cafes in Singapore, having been around for nearly 20 years. They recently reopened in Bugis in September 2023 with a spacious dine-in cafe.
Tom’s Palette Reopens In Bugis With Chio Dine-In Space And 36 Gelato Flavours
Over at this upcoming Kovan outlet, you can expect an all-new dessert: King Pin Cone ($7.80). Inspired by Singapore’s “Bee Hoon King”, Lim Ah Pin, this outlet-exclusive item features fresh coconut milk gelato and putu mayam in a cone, topped with jaggery red sugar.
There are other new flavours on the menu too, including White Chocolate Passionfruit and Honey Apricot Cardamom.
You can also get Tom’s Palette ($29.80) here, a staple at the Bugis cafe. This comprises six gelato scoops lined up on a platter, best for sharing. Think of it as gelato omakase, as there’s no telling what flavours you’re getting!
Don’t forget to pair your gelato with freshly baked Waffles, priced at $3.80 for half and $7.50 for full. Even better: there’s a 1-for-1 promotion on these waffles from 30 March to 7 April 2024, only at the Kovan cafe!
Do note that the deal only applies to the waffles. You can top up $5.20 for a scoop of gelato, $9.60 for two, or $12.60 for three if you’re feeling greedy.
Mainstay gelato flavours include White Chocolate Nori, a savoury-sweet combination of Japanese Seaweed gelato with white chocolate-coated almonds. Other noteworthy mentions are Sicilian Pistachio, Italian Dark Chocolate, and Taiwanese Sesame Brittle—we tried and loved this nutty gelato, which is also available at the Bugis store!
Tom’s Palette Kovan will open on 30 March 2024, so make sure you head down to enjoy the 1-for-1 waffles.
