CAFE REN is a new cafe by KUKI at Farrer Park

Popular home-based business KUKI, which specialises in open-faced molten cookies, recently announced the opening of their second home, CAFE REN. Avid cafe hoppers would know that Farrer Park is home to many cafes such as Three Cheers Patisserie and Yeast Side, and CAFE REN is the latest addition to this hip area.

Slated to open on 7 July 2023, CAFE REN provides a wide range of food options perfect for your brunch and dinner dates. Better yet, KUKI’s well-loved lava cookies can be found here too. Their Pistachio Lava Cookie ($10++) comes with a chocolate cookie oozing with pistachio praline lava, topped with oat milk vanilla gelato.

One of the recommended items from their brunch menu is Avocado, Mentaiko & Egg ($18++), which features sourdough, mentaiko, folded eggs, salmon roe, and fresh avocado. It’d be helpful to note that the brunch menu is only available until 3pm!

A main that caught our attention is REN’s Fried Mac & Cheese Ball ($19++), which boasts a sinful yet glorious combination of pork ragu, macaroni, triple cheese bechamel, lao gan ma chilli, and XO sauce.

For something a tad fancier to enjoy on your dinner date, their Pan Seared Wild Caught Salmon ($26++) sounds ideal. This dish features a side of tabbouleh salad, and salmon accompanied by roasted bell pepper puree.

Lava cookies aside, dessert fans are in for a treat as Sweet Potato Cheesecake ($12++) and Sweet Potato Latte ($6++) are available here as well. If you visit on their opening day, you get a free beverage of choice with every main!
