Here’s another piece of great news for Punggol residents to munch on! In celebration of its 10th year in Singapore, Haidilao is opening a brand new outlet at Northshore Plaza in Punggol.

A tad different from your usual Haidilao outlets around Singapore, this newest branch will be the hotpot chain’s first “smart” restaurant in the country. The Marina Square outlet is currently its most technologically advanced one with futuristic elements that provide for a multimedia dining experience with elements such as an automatic soup machine. The Northshore Plaza is set to see these aspects get a full upgrade.
The most impressive feature will be the Intelligent Food Room.

A cold room maintained at 0-4°C, the area houses a number of robot arms programmed to pick out the dishes and send them to a sorting area once a customer places an order via the iPad.
The process is supposed to help in maintaining the freshness of the ingredients, as well as minimising potential risks of bacteria transmission from human food handling.
Each dish also comes with unique RFID (radio-frequency identification), similar to having an ID card, which allows for real-time tracking. All dishes at the sorting area will be quality-checked by internal staff before being served, Haidilao added.
The Northshore Plaza outlet will also be fitted with an automatic soup machine and roving robot waiters that will send the fresh food straight from the kitchen to your table.

As part of the celebrations, Haidilao is pushing out a weekly menu where two dishes will be priced at $10 each. The dishes are full portions, with usual prices up to S$28 each. This promotion is available at all outlets, starting from Oct 31 on a dine-in basis and while stocks last!
