Located at Hamilton Road, a four-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT Station, Lola Faye Cafe is a Muslim-owned dessert cafe serving gelato waffles, brownies, savoury wraps, and frappes. The aesthetic cafe also opens until 2am, making them a popular spot for those looking to tame their supper cravings.

The cafe sports a tropical theme with a twist—think dark furnishings and dim lighting. The eatery sees a huge wall at the entrance that is covered almost entirely in faux foliage, as well as wood-patterned flooring and dark brown furniture for a soothing vibe.

All food and desserts at Lola Faye Cafe are made using halal ingredients, including their gelato, which is outsourced. A single scoop will set you back $5, while a double scoop costs $9. They also offer a range of fruity ice cream from $3.50, with flavours including mango, coconut, lychee, and peach. Additional toppings are available at $1, such as Caramel, Chocolate, and Gula Melaka drizzle.

You can also opt to have your ice cream served with the Buttermilk Belgian Waffles ($6) or Charcoal Blackout Waffles ($7), with the latter being the more popular option due to its dark shade. The waffles are said to be on the soft side with a subtle crunch on the outside, and are also not too sweet.

For something different, try the cafe’s Gelato Croissants ($9.80), which consist of a single gelato scoop nestled inside a soft croissant. Feel free to jazz it up with some whipped cream, or drizzle it with sea salt or chocolate sauce. Savoury croissants are also served, such as the Egg Mayo Croissant ($5.90) and Chicken Mayo Croissant ($6.90).
