Located in the lifestyle venue Plaza Arkadia, La Mei Hotpot will surely please fans of fiery mala broths. After you pay a starting fee of RM6.80+/~S$2+ per person, you can choose up to four kinds of Soup Bases (from RM36+/~S$10.70+), including tomato, pork bone, and of course, three levels of spicy mala.

3. Grand Imperial Restaurant @ Pavilion KL

With several outlets across the country, Grand Imperial is one of the most established Chinese restaurant franchises in Malaysia. 4. Mingle Cafe

Cafe-hoppers need to stop by Mingle Cafe, a vintage-themed eatery located a stone’s throw away from the famous Petaling Street Market. For marvellously fresh and juicy oysters, visit Poseidon Reserve Caviar & Oyster Bar. The restaurant offers globally sourced oysters from RM85+/~S$25.20+—which gets you a set of three—in addition to other seafood delicacies, such as caviar. Cantonese food in KL doesn’t get much better than The Regent Chinese Cuisine. Tony Roma’s Singapore outlets closed their doors in 2019, but you can still have the American casual dining chain’s famous ribs in KL. 10. Crane KL

Another great cafe to visit in KL, Crane KL serves Asian-Western fusion food in an oriental-style shophouse. Dishes that lean towards the Asian side of things include the Stuffed Mantou Bun (RM25++/~S$7.40++), where smoky barbecued chicken and vegetables are encased in fluffy mantou. Those who like hearty Western fare, meanwhile, can go for the large and juicy Crane KL Burger (RM40++/~S$11.90++).
