Bakery 1946 opens first store in Singapore at Suntec City
The last time we heard of Bakery 1946, a famous Korean bakery selling a huge range of breads, was in February 2024 when they had a pop-up at Bugis Junction. Here’s a piece of good news to brighten up your week: their first physical store in Singapore is slated to open at Suntec City sometime in June 2024!

During our visit to their pop-up back in February, we particularly enjoyed the Whole Chestnut Bread ($3.90) which was adorably shaped to resemble a chestnut. This moreish bun was packed with a sufficiently sweet roasted chestnut filling that’s blended with rich coffee flavour.
And of course, you can expect crowd-favourite K-Apple Bread ($35.50 for six) featuring sweet apple chunks and smooth cream cheese within.
Another must-try is the Carrot Bread ($3.90), a chewy bread made of real carrots, then packed with sweet cream cheese with small carrot bits. Worry not if you’re not a fan of the vegetable as you barely taste the raw, earthy flavour of carrots in this one.
Sweet potato fans will surely fancy the Sweet Potato Bread ($5.20) here as you get a winning combination of a mochi-like bread generously stuffed with sweet potato paste.
We don’t have much information about their opening yet, but we know their doors will open to the public in June 2024. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on their Instagram page!
