Hale Smoothies is a vending machine in Bugis with fresh-blended drinks
TikTokers may remember the 7-Eleven fruit smoothie machine from Japan that went viral some time ago. But even if you aren’t visiting Japan any time soon, you can now try a similar—and arguably more advanced concept—just outside of Bugis+. Touted as “Singapore’s first smoothie vending machine”, Hale Smoothies harnesses robotics to whip up an impressive range of healthy drinks.
So, how does one operate this impressive machine? Simply start by interacting with the touchscreen, which brings up a total of 16 different flavours for you to choose from. There’s also an option for you to customise your own smoothie right down to the toppings and sweetness level.
Once you’ve made your payment, the machine will construct whatever you’ve selected with great precision. There’s something quite satisfying about watching the machine whirl around, collecting all the different fruits and vegetables to be blended into a colourful smoothie.
If you’re looking for an option with some greens, try the Beach Body flavour. Featuring spinach, oats, banana, and mango, this is a creamy yet textured smoothie that will appeal to most.
Another delicious flavour to check out is the Midnight Drive ($5). Made with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, banana, and pineapple, this sweet-sour drink is both refreshing and satisfying to slurp down.
Hale Smoothies also offers protein-rich options such as The Buff Dragon ($7), which includes dragon fruit, milk, and protein powder, as well as slightly more decadent drinks like the Mango Milkshake ($6). If you’re a smoothie fan, there’s likely to be something you’ll love in this vending machine in Bugis.
