Punggol residents have something to look forward to, as Warabimochi Kamakura is set to open at Waterway Point sometime in mid-October 2024!

Japan-Famous Warabimochi Kamakura Opens In Holland Village, Their 1st SG Outlet

While we don’t have much information about this opening, we can confirm that this will be a dine-in cafe with limited seats. Besides the brand’s famous Japanese mochi desserts, which are already available at their other branches, one can expect new outlet-exclusive items to appear on the menu.

This Waterway Point cafe will mark the brand’s fifth store in Singapore. Their latest opening is Warabimochi Kamakura JEM, which is set to launch on 23 August 2024.

Over at Waterway Point, fans can look forward to the chain’s signature Warabimochi, sold in a 2-Piece Cup ($3.90)5-Piece Box ($7.90), or 10-Piece Box ($14.90). These treats are made with 100% bracken starch, featuring a secret Kamakura-exclusive blend that results in a light and silken finish. Each piece is tossed in premium kinako powder that’s roasted at a higher temperature for a richer flavour.

If you’d like to try their warabimochi in drink form, you’ll be happy to find an assortment of mochi-infused beverages here.

Their Strawberry Milk (from $7.90) is a popular kid-friendly pick; otherwise, go for their Tenku no Hojicha (from $5.90) or Coffee Milk (from $5.90) for a hit of caffeine.

We’ll update this story as soon as we get more details on the new cafe and outlet-exclusive desserts.

If you’re at Waterway Point, visit Paik’s Noodle, which has recently opened a branch there with their famous jjajangmyeon! Otherwise, if you’re in town instead, check out Warabimochi Kamakura’s Taste Orchard and Takashimaya Shopping Centre outlets.
