When it comes to classic desserts in Singapore, tau huay is always a crowd favourite, best enjoyed with a generous dose of sugar syrup. North-Easties who find themselves craving this sweet treat can check out N&B Snack, a hidden gem located a three-minute walk away from Potong Pasir MRT Station. This old-school cafe is known for their house-made beancurd, puffs and pies, but also their super nostalgic interior design.

For ‘90s kids, childhood equals munching on hot fries and Happy Meals at McDonald’s while spinning on colourful chairs. While modern McDonald’s eateries have shed that iconic interior design, N&B Snack has brought the nostalgia back with their decor.

While waiting for your tau huay to arrive, enjoy snapping fun OOTD shots against their old-school interior.

We recommend going for their soya milk first. From $2.90, customers can enjoy a cup of Hot Soya Milk, prepared on-site to ensure its freshness. If you want a larger portion to dabao or share with a friend, then their 480ml Soya Curd ($3) is what you should go for.

Tang yuan lovers, N&B Snacks has gotchu too. You can opt for the Peanut Dumplings in Soya Milk & Curd (3-in-1) at just $4.90, and enjoy the textural contrast between the chewy tang yuan with the smooth bean curd.

That’s not all—N&B Snack also offers a variety of warm pastries to pair with your sweet tau huay. Their handmade croissants are made with natural yeast, so they taste a bit like sourdough. These come in an array of flavours, ranging from Almond Flake Topping to Savoury Green Bean Filling, each available at $3.90.
