Their You Po Shave Noodle is served plain ($4.50), or you can also add on a protein (Beef/Pork Rib/Chicken Cutlet/Intestine) of your choice for an additional $2. The noodles are shaved upon order and cooked to perfection in a matter of minutes. As they start clumping together after a while, be fast to mix them with the sauce. Give it a good toss, and you’re ready to dig in.

The texture of the noodles are absolutely sublime – incredibly chewy and addictive, with its chewiness being in-between your mee hoon kueh and potato noodles. The thickness is spot on as well, similar to mee hoon kueh which is slightly thicker than your usual ban mian noodles. Topped with minced garlic, it adds a pleasant textural crunch to the chewy noodles which are simply amazing.
Not only does the texture stand out, but so do the flavours! Leaning towards the tangy side, it seriously packs a punch as well which builds and lingers with each bite. Additionally, it helps to balance out the tanginess as well. Delivering incredible layers of flavours, the natural flavour of the noodles comes first, followed by a delightful layer of tanginess and spice, with a hint of savouriness coming through at the end.

The chicken cutlet is deep-fried beautifully, giving it a crispy exterior while the meat remains juicy. Seasoned well, it pairs nicely with the flavour of the noodles.

You can even pair your noodles and chicken with their dried chilli for some additional heat and umami. Everything blends together perfectly, giving an incredible burst of flavours!
