Opting for their best-seller, the Braised Beef Noodles ($6) are served with thin kway teow noodles and a sauce with a dark hue. As soon as you take a sip, your brain will probably think, “eh… it tastes like kwap chap sia”. Don’t worry people, we completely agree with you. Slightly thicker than the usual kwap chap broth, the thin kway teow noodles absorb the sauce well, giving each slurp a delightful burst of flavour.

Ah lai, now for the star of the dish. The beef slices hor, though they made look ordinary are incredibly tender and succulent, with a beautiful layer of fat that melts in your mouth. Served in big and thicc slices, each bite will have you craving for more. No cap people. Additionally, the onions help to cut through the beef and add a textural crunch.

To elevate the dish some more right, be sure to dip the beef into the chilli for an amazing kick of spice and tang. The heat builds and lingers, yet isn’t too overwhelming for you to need a cup of water.
