Popular old-school confectionery Qunkee Biscuit & Bakery has opened their first Singapore outlet at Space @ Kovan along Yio Chu Kang Road. Enjoy an array of fresh bakes like egg tarts, kaya puffs, tau sar piah (traditional Chinese pastry), and more!

Qunkee Biscuits & Bakery has over 48 years of history and was founded by Chen Zhang Han. He left China in 1918 to seek business opportunities in Malaysia, leading him to open his own restaurant in Ipoh by 1971. He then expanded in 1975, setting up Qunkee Biscuit & Bakery.

Their egg tarts are their best-sellers and a must-try, with two types to choose from – the Portuguese Egg Tart or the Hong Kong-style Egg Tart. More unique flavours are also available like the Matcha Egg Tart and Chicken Floss Tart.

Another popular favourite are their kaya puffs, featuring an incredible house-made kaya filling. Traditional bakes are offered as well, such as their tau sar piah, wife biscuit, wedding biscuit, and sachima (honey crackers).
