Mister Donut collabs with Yak Kun Kaya Toast

As Singapore’s 59th birthday rolls around, F&B brands in Singapore are pulling out all the stops to wish the nation a happy birthday. Mister Donut is one such brand—the Japanese mochi doughnut franchise has announced a limited-time collaboration with the iconic Ya Kun Kaya Toast in the name of National Day.

The collaboration stars two exclusive doughnuts that, according to a press statement, “combines the heart-warming flavours of traditional Singaporean breakfast with the classic sweetness of Japanese-style donuts”. The two flavours will be available from 1 August to 31 August at all Mister Donut outlets islandwide, at $3 apiece.

Now, onto the flavours. Diehard Ya Kun kopi lovers will be delighted by the Ya Kun Kopi Pon De Ring, which features a mochi-mochi doughnut infused with Ya Kun’s celebrated sock-brewed kopi. The doughnut is finished with a bittersweet coffee milk chocolate glaze.

Kaya toast diehards will have to try the Ya Kun Kaya Cream doughnut. This isn’t a mochi doughnut, but instead, a classic bombolini. Customers can expect a fluffy doughnut filled generously with an airy whipped cream, that’s blended with Ya Kun’s signature creamy kaya.

While each piece retails at $3, you can also purchase a box of six for $14 or 10 for $23.
