Durian Fiesta at Goodwood Park Hotel returns

Goodwood Park Hotel returns with its annual Durian Fiesta, a five-month affair that runs from 6 March to 6 August 2023. While it isn’t the buffet we’ve been used to seeing, this year’s a la carte-only Durian Fiesta sees both new creations and old favourites, available for takeaway or dine-in at the hotel in Orchard.

A highlight this year is the all-new, French-inspired D24 Paris Brest ($22). This stunning dessert comprises a light and crisp choux pastry sandwiching D24 mousse, piped with a delectable mix of custard cream, buttercream, and hazelnut paste. Hazelnut cream, caramelised hazenuls, and almond shavings finish off the pastry.

Those who love old-school flavours can try the D24 Pandan Coconut Gula Melaka Cake ($20 per slice). This new dessert consists of a light coconut mousse and D24 mousse, between layers of fragrant pandan sponge, coated in more desiccated coconut that’s cooked in rich gula melaka.

You can also get a whole 1.2kg cake for $120, perfect for celebrations.

For something more refreshing, try the D24 Pineapple Lime Zest Dome ($22) instead, which combines D24 mousse with a tangy pineapple mousse and lime zest. The IG-worthy dessert sees chunks of sweet pineapple studded within for more fruity goodness. A crispy white chocolate hazelnut cookie sits at the bottom, adding some textural contrast to the creamy elements.

Do note that the new items are only available for delivery or takeaway.

The hotel’s iconic D24 Mousse Cake ($19 per slice) and D24 Puffs ($36 for six, $56 for 10) are also making a comeback, along with the D24 Crepe ($19 per piece): sweet and creamy D24 pulp tucked in a house-made crepe.

If you prefer Mao Shan Wang over D24, the hotel will be bringing back their signature MSW selection from 1 May to 6 August. This includes the cult favourite Mao Shan Wang Power Puff ($33) and Mao Shan Wang Mousse Cake (from $90). The former is a jumbo profiterole generously piped with top-quality MSW puree, while the latter is an iteration of the hotel’s first durian product: the D24 Mousse Cake.

These desserts are all available for pre-order on their online shop, where you can opt for delivery or self-collection. For takeaway orders on selected Durian Fiesta pastries, Goodwood Park Hotel Gourmet cardmembers will get 20% off, while Citi, DBS/POSB, HSBC, OCBC, UOB credit and debit cardmembers can enjoy 15% off

You can also call The Deli at 6730 1786 or email your order form to [email protected] to place your order. Do note that a minimum of three days is needed and the last pre-order date is 3 August 2023.
