It seems like mochi desserts are here to stay—from mochi waffles to the Japan-famous Warabimochi Kamakura, the trend isn’t dying down just yet. Tiky Mochi is another contender in the scene; this home-based business is popular for their mochi cupcakes and muffins!

The Muslim-owned home bakery has close to 10,000 followers on Instagram. You can look forward to monthly specials for the cupcakes, alongside a staple collection of mochi muffins.

This April 2024, there are four special mochi cupcake flavours to try: Honey Butter Cornflakes, Pandan Kaya Cheese, Nutella, and Thai Milk Tea. The last two come with a cream-filled centre of rich Nutella and Thai tea-infused custard respectively.

These mochi cupcakes cost $22.50 for a box of 12 minis and $40.50 for a box of 24 minis. If you prefer larger-sized treats, a box of four regular pieces is available at $17.50, while six regular-sized cupcakes go for $24.50. They’re said to be dense, chewy, and packed with flavour.

Those who want something less sinful can order their mochi muffins, priced from $19.50 for a box of 27 minis, and $16.50 for six regular muffins. For these, you can pick from four flavours: Black Sesame, Matcha, Chocolate Chip, and Double Chocolate. FYI: these mochi muffins are also gluten- and dairy-free!
To order, simply drop Tiky Mochi a DM on their Instagram page. Self-collection is available at Marine Parade, but you can also opt for delivery with a $10 top-up. Do note that the mochi muffins and cupcakes are available on selected days, so make sure you clarify with them before placing an order!
