This comes as good news as fans can now get their KL-style nasi lemak fix at a more central location. The new eatery is located in Icon Village, a three-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station.

In case you didn’t know, the brand rose to fame for its nasi lemak, created by a chef who’s worked at the famous Village Park Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur for 15 years.

Dickson Nasi Lemak Review: Malaysian-style Ayam Goreng Nasi Lemak With 18-Ingredient Sambal

Fans will be happy to know that they can enjoy their nasi lemak here, alongside new additions such as kaya toast sets. There are dine-in seats here too, compared to the takeaway-only concept at their Joo Chiat outlet.

There’s the signature Ayam Goreng Berempah ($10.80): fragrant coconut rice, anchovies and peanuts, fried egg, and a house-made sambal, crowned by a deep-fried chicken leg.

Regulars tout the Malaysian-style fried chicken as tender and flavourful, thanks to the secret marinade of spices that include turmeric, ginger, and lemongrass.

When we visited Dickson Nasi Lemak’s OG outlet in 2022, we were impressed with the light and fluffy rice, which boasted an addictive fragrance thanks to the use of fresh coconut milk.
