South Korea’s Daily Beer opens in Telok Ayer
Founded in 2014, the award-winning Daily Beer is a hugely popular South Korean fried chicken and craft beer restaurant and us vouched for by fans such as EXO’s Xiumin, and the cast of SBS’ Running Man. They’ve got over 370 outlets in Korea, and have now decided to expand to open their first ever overseas outlet in Singapore. Daily Beer Singapore has officially opened its doors at Telok Ayer, so if you’re looking for a chimaek spot, give them a shot.

Onto food: diners can enjoy a wide range of fried chicken flavours, as well as classic Korean street eats here. Their signature fried chicken is known as Angry Bird on the menu, and is priced from $27.90++ for 600g of wings.

If regular ol’ double-fried chicken isn’t your thing, then opt for any of the other four Angry Bird flavours. There’s Red, which is your classic sticky, spicy yangnyeom, Black, coated in a garlic and soy glaze, Kimchi, dusted with a zingy kimchi powder, and Crunch, topped with a garlic seasoning and crunchy cornflakes. These flavoured versions start at $29.90++ for 600g of wings.
Daily Beer Singapore also has a handful of bar bite platters, which come with classic Korean bar snacks. The Semi-fried Squid with Peanuts ($28++) is one to try if you’re a fan of dried cuttlefish and calamari. Otherwise, go for the classic Spam Fries ($16++) or Kimchi Fries ($16++).

We’d also recommend adding some mains into the mix. Their Premium Fish Cake Soup ($28++), for example, is a spicy riff on oden, and comes topped with different kinds of fried and steamed fish cakes, as well as shrimp skewers. The Daily Budae Tteokbokki also looks delish. Priced at $30++, you’ll get a claypot of army stew, generously topped with tteokbokki.
The dishes here are great for sharing, so bring a friend or two and work your way through.

Daily Beer Singapore’s motto is “no beer, no work”, so you can’t possibly put your stomach to work without washing it down with some beer.
The restaurant has a craft beer draught wall, where you’ll get a range of seven different Korean craft beers to choose from, all of them made in collaboration with Korean breweries, as well as Singapore’s very own Brewerkz. Highlights include the refreshing Kampong Pilsner ($14++), and the unique, herbaceous K-Ginseng Lager ($13++).
