Previously located at Maxwell Food Centre, famous ngoh hiang stall China Street Fritters has recently reopened their doors in a coffee shop in Telok Blangah! Many loyal patrons were devastated by their closing last month, but they can now heave a sigh of relief as the stall has made a comeback with their beloved deep-fried treats.

The stall offers a small selection of items such as Meat Roll, Liver Roll, Sausage, Fish Ball and Bean Curd. There are four sets for you to choose from, and prices range from $4.30 to $10.30. Each set comes with a red sauce, which is said to be sweet and spicy, as well as a black sauce, which is on the savoury side.

If you’re visiting in a pair, getting their Set D ($10.30) is quite a steal. It consists of two plates of bee hoon, ngoh hiang, liver roll, century egg, beancurd, egg slice, and Hokkien-style sausage AKA guan chang.

Along with Hup Kee Wu Xiang Guan Chang, China Street Fritters is one of the few Hokkien ngoh hiang stalls left in Singapore. With more than 80 years of experience, the owners are fighting with all their might to continue their longstanding tradition. If you’re in the vicinity, be sure to drop by and show them some love!
