Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove food guide

If you’re looking for a dining destination that is family-friendly, great for special occasions, and removed from the bustle of the city, then let us point you in the direction of Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove.

The enclave is the ideal pick for several reasons. On the food front, Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove has a myriad of international dining options, from fresh seafood platters to hearty Thai food, cafe brunches and homely Greek dishes. The vibes are immaculate too, as Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove faces the marina for chill waterfront views while you dine. During the June holiday weekends, there will also be live music performances against the backdrop of the marina, adding to the A+ ambience. Family-friendly activities such as the Pet A Parrot event, and a Cycling Workshop will also be held throughout the month!

Finally, Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove will also be offering cashback e-vouchers as part of their SUNsational Rewards’s E-VoucherBack Treats—but more on this at the end of the article. If we’ve incentivised you to head out to Sentosa for your next meal, then let’s take you through the best Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove restaurants so you can find the eatery that best suits your cravings, and lock in your next reservation.

1. SHAAN – North Indian Cuisine

For comforting and wallet-friendly Northern Indian cuisine, pay a visit to SHAAN – North Indian Cuisine, a new restaurant in the area. The restaurant’s al fresco area offers waterfront views of Sentosa Cove, all the better to enjoy with their expansive menu of Northern Indian dishes. Choose from a variety of meats, veggies, and more to share with your loved ones.

If you’re spoiled for choice, we highly recommend their Rogan Josh ($22++), where you get chunks of boneless mutton, cooked in an aromatic Kashimiri curry. The Butter Chicken ($21++) is also a standout here, with fork-tender pieces of chicken slow-cooked in a forward sauce. Definitely pair their curries with your pick of fluffy Garlic Naan ($9++) or Cheese Naan ($9++), even both! We’re huge fans of the former, with its strong, garlicky savouriness.

Finally, quench your thirst with some of their refreshing house cocktails, including the sweet Singapore Sling ($16++) and the zesty Frozen Margarita ($18++). FYI: they have a kid’s menu if you’re bringing the little ones.

FYI: the restaurant is not a halal-certified eatery due to the presence of alcohol on the premises, but they use halal ingredients and adhere to halal food preparation standards.

Make this year the year you learn how to cook like a pro—or at least, not be a disaster in the kitchen—with the help of the experienced chef instructors at Anatta Culinary Academy, a new cooking studio at Quayside Isle. The school offers interactive, hands-on cooking and baking classes tailored to your level of expertise. You sign up, learn to cook or bake a handful of dishes, then end off the course with your very own culinary creations, with large portions to bring home for your loved ones too! Anatta Culinary Academy focuses on teaching you culinary techniques in their classes, so that your learned skills are adaptable to any cuisine or dish you’d like to cook in the future. This June holiday, Anatta Culinary Academy is also running parent-child cooking classes, so sign up if you want a fun, educational bonding opportunity!

If you’re contemplating signing up, here are some highlights worth checking out. A Culinary Journey Into Japanese Ramen Mastery ($240) is a half day course where a skilled Japanese instructor takes you through the art of making ramen from scratch. Here, you’ll learn how to craft every component, from the noodles to three types of broths. The Crafting Artistry in Chocolate ($200) is another course to consider. You learn how to craft bon bons with different types of chocolate, filled with a fruit-and-soju filling, or just fruit for the kids.

Do note that the entrance to the cooking studio is via the Lift Lobby to Level 2.

Fireside makes for a fantastic date night or special occasion dining spot. The bar lounge by the folks behind Panamericana is located on the second floor of Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove, which means unobstructed views of the waterfront as you wine and dine. Look forward to a menu of wood-fire grill cuisine and other delicious bites, from their house-made Wood-Fired Mid Wings ($12++) to their signature Fireside Beef Sliders ($15++), dressed in a secret sauce.

A broad range of wines, spirits, and cocktails are also available to order from their stunning horseshoe-shaped long bar. Prices start at $18++ for their Lady In Red, a mix of Hendrick’s Gin with sweet sour cherries, fresh raspberries, and a hint of zesty lemon. It’s also worth noting that Fireside has a gelato bar in-house for all your dessert needs. Prices start at $5 for a scoop, or $9 for two.

4. Greenwood Fish Market

Grab your seafood-lovin’ friends and head down to Greenwood Fish Market’s Quayside Isle restaurant. The local seafood connoisseurs are renowned for their fresh, directly imported seafood with Western, Asian, and Japanese influences across the board, and their awe-inspiring seafood towers.

Their GFM Signature Cold Seafood Platter ($349.95++) is a must if you’re looking to treat yourself with four to six of your besties, as it comes with a whopping three tiers of seafood. Highlights here include a whole Boston lobster, sweet snow crab legs, briny oysters, mussels, langoustines and more. There are also a handful of “cooked” dishes available with the platter, from applewood cold-smoked salmon to scallop carpaccio.

If you haven’t got a holiday to Spain lined up, then let Sabio by the Sea transport you there. The Spanish tapas and grill restaurant offers waterfront views and an impressive food menu, from traditional hot and cold tapas to grilled meats and seafood cooked in an authentic Spanish josper oven, as well as showstopping paellas.

A must-try is their Paella Negra ($38++). This paella comes brimming with fresh seafood such as mussels and prawns, enhanced with the bold flavours of squid ink. Sabio by the Sea is also family-friendly. Order their kid’s specials like the Junior’s Treasure Bucket ($18++), featuring a variety of fried goodies including Chicken Fritos and Calamares, accompanied by three dipping sauces.

6. Mykonos On The Bay

Step into Mykonos On The Bay and you’ll feel transported to Mykonos, thanks to the blue-and-white furnishings, as well as the marina-front view this Mediterranean restaurant boasts. The restaurant is established by owners who have spent time around Greece’s islands, and have eaten more than their fair share of authentic Grecian bites around the country’s tavernas, so expect authenticity here.

Must-tries include their Moussaka ($35++) and their Gyros ($31.50++). The former is a creamy Grecian casserole, generously portioned and layered with creamy eggplant, bechamel, and beef ragout. The latter is essentially a DIY pita dish, starring spit-roasted pork shavings that you can pack into fluffy pitas, and top with their refreshing tzatziki dressing.

Unit number: #01-10
Opening hours: Mon-Wed, Fri 12pm to 3pm, 6pm to 10:30pm, Thurs 6pm to 10:30pm, Sat-Sun 12pm to 10:30pm

7. Common Man Coffee Roasters

Don’t bother jostling with crowds in mainland Singapore for your weekend brunch. Instead, dig into brunch platters and excellent coffee at Common Man Coffee Roasters’ Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove cafe. If you love a sweet brunch, then their Salted Caramel Pancakes ($25++) are sure to please—think stacks of fluffy pancakes topped with caramelised bananas, walnuts, a salted caramel sauce, a nutty crumble, berry coulis and more.

Team savoury breakfast, you’ll enjoy the Common Man Full Breakfast ($30++), a generously portioned, hearty platter filled with the works. There are two eggs served in your style of choice, sourdough toast, bacon, hashbrowns, chorizo baked beans, portobello mushrooms, and so many more goodies, you’ll have to pop your top button off your jeans when you’re done. Don’t skip their specialty coffees either, made with beans, sourced and roasted by the Common Man Coffee Roaster roastery team in Singapore.

8. Gin Khao Bistro

Gin Khao Bistro is not your run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant. In fact, the highly-rated, harbour-side Thai bistro offers some of the most unique dishes from the Land of Smiles we’ve tried, so definitely make a reservation if you’re looking to dine with legit foodies.

Their Watermelon Fried Rice ($28.80++) is a house signature, served in an actual watermelon, instead of the usual pineapple. The rice is fried with a range of seafood, as well as watermelon flesh, and topped with pork floss. We’re huge fans of the Gai Satay ($14.80++), where chargrilled, crispy-skinned chicken satay is served with a fragrant peanut curry sauce. Round off your meal with the all-time classic Mango Sticky Rice ($10.80++), where uber-sweet mango is served with black glutinous rice.
