Best restaurants to watch the NDP fireworks in Singapore
National Day is coming, which means three things: a public holiday, the National Day Parade (NDP), and of course, fireworks. If you’re looking forward to the latter and want to make an occasion out of watching the nighttime spectacle, we suggest swinging by a local restaurant with views of the NDP fireworks display. To help you along your quest, and to make sure you’re getting in those reservations early, here is our guide to the best restaurants in Singapore to watch the NDP fireworks from.
While 9 August is obviously showtime, you can also catch the fireworks during rehearsal dates, which fall on 22 July and 29 July this year.

1. LeVeL 33

LeVeL 33, as its name suggests, is located on level 33 of the Marina Bay Financial Centre. With that, you know you’re getting awesome views of the Bay area and beyond, making this spot a hot fave for catching the fireworks. What’s more, you’ll get to enjoy the sight with a crisp, cold pint or two of their craft beers, brewed entirely in-house within their microbrewery! 2. OverEasy

OverEasy’s primo location along the banks of the Marina Bay makes it one of the best spots to watch the NDP fireworks in Singapore. As you ooh and ahh over the lights in the night sky, make sure you’re also digging into some of the restaurant bar’s all-American delights. These include their chunky burgers, especially their famed Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger ($25++), and their oh-so-Instagrammable Beer Can Chicken ($68++), best enjoyed with a group. The latter sees a whole chicken roasted atop a beer can, and feeds up to four.

3. Ce La Vi

Marina Bay Sands is an NDP fireworks hotspot, but if you want to beat the crowds around the bay and get front-row seats to the light show, head on up to Ce La Vi. The rooftop skybar at Marina Bay Sands is prime real estate for looking at the fireworks, made extra enjoyable by their menu of crafted tipples and dishes. Nibble on elevated tapas such as Seasonal Oysters (from $45++), Prawn Toast ($22++), and Truffle Fries ($22++) as you take in the fireworks display.

4. LAVO

Another Marina Bay Sands rooftop staple is LAVO, an Italian restaurant and bar from West Hollywood. While the sky-high joint offers mostly indoor dining, there are al fresco seats for stunning views of the fireworks display and the rest of the Singapore skyline. While you’re there, order some of LAVO’s iconic dishes to feast on, including “The Meatball” ($39++), a huge one-pound Wagyu meatball served with whipped ricotta, their massive grilled steaks, and their 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($28++), a devil’s food cake layered with peanut butter mascarpone.

5. Super Loco Customs House

Come National Day, they’ll also be offering diners bookings for outdoor seats to watch the fireworks as part of their Viva Singapore package. Priced from $358++ for two guests, the package gets you a four-course meal, three hours of free-flow tipples, and live music to accompany the theatrics of the NDP fireworks.

7. Kinki Restaurant & Bar

Located in the Customs House along Collyer Quay, Kinki Restaurant & Bar serves up Japanese bites and cocktails with sublime views of the Singapore River. Their bustling al fresco rooftop bar is where the vibes are right, and it’s there you can watch the NDP fireworks display overhead. While the rooftop bar doesn’t have a food menu that’s as extensive as the restaurant, they do have wallet-friendly happy hour deals, where two pints of beer or glasses of wine go for $26++ on weekdays from 5pm to 8pm. Couple that with some small bites and you’ve got a fab evening ahead. Mr Stork is one of Singapore’s prettiest rooftop bars, no cap. The level 39 space in Andaz Hotel is dotted with teepee tents you can book to snuggle up with your special someone over cocktails and nibbles, as you both marvel at the space’s panoramic views of the local skyline. It’s not your usual Marina Bay views, but it’s no less arresting, especially on National Day, where you get to see the NDP fireworks explode over the colourful concrete jungle below. They’ve got an extensive menu of tapas both savoury and sweet, including the likes of their Maine Lobster & Shrimp Rolls ($39++) and their Dessert Platter ($16++). If you’d like something to wash it all down, an impressive wine list and cocktail menu awaits.

Acclaimed casual Italian restaurant, Supply & Demand, has multiple outlets islandwide, but the one you want to book a table at come National Day is its Esplanade address. The trattoria has a cute rooftop bar that faces Marina Bay, and while it may not be as high up as some of the other eateries on this list, you still get to witness the fireworks in all their glory. Aside from the views, Supply & Demand also delivers a wide selection of mod-Italian eats, from Truffle Mushroom Arancini ($23++), to an impressive range of house-made fresh tagliatelle dishes.
